HBCU Center of Coaching Excellence
Advancing HBCU leadership in higher ed student success
InsideTrack believes in the power of HBCUs and celebrates your accomplishments. As a mission-driven, learner-centered nonprofit, we are currently partnering with over 40 HBCUs thanks to support from and partnership with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Partnership for Education Advancement, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. We see you, HBCUs.
Every year, HBCUs collectively demonstrate your unique and diverse gifts in serving and supporting learners — to, through and beyond completion. You succeed where others fail. You operate from a deep and fundamental commitment to equity and belonging. And you structure yourselves around the reality that learners’ intersecting identities, family ties and communities of origin matter and have value. You are leading the way in demonstrating more effective models for higher education institutions to improve individual lives.
An innovative, forward-thinking hub to share ideas and insights
InsideTrack is inviting HBCUs and funders to partner with us to launch the HBCU Center of Coaching Excellence — a hub that illuminates the transformative impact HBCUs are delivering to their learners through the power of coaching. Through the Center, we can secure more resources to further this collective work, enhancing and extending the benefits of coaching for learners and institutions across higher education.
Together, we can work towards a postsecondary education system that is more equitable and more effective for all learners — where every individual on any pathway to opportunity has the personalized, evidence-based, human-to-human, growth-supporting experiences and relationships of coaching.
Join us on this journey to shape the future of the Center.

Meet Malika Clinkscales
HBCUs are near and dear to Malika’s heart and helped shape the person she is today. Her mother is a retired college professor who frequently taught at HBCUs. So growing up, Malika spent many afternoons on HBCU campuses. She went on to graduate from Howard University. And today, as Senior Associate Vice President at InsideTrack, she leads the HBCU Center of Coaching Excellence, empowering HBCUs and their learners to thrive.
