The Opportunity

Over the past five years, Employ Prince George’s, an industry-leading workforce development nonprofit organization in Maryland, has launched 14 successful workforce development programs, building bridges between local businesses in need of employees and job seekers in Prince George’s County. To further the employment outcomes of the individuals they serve, they sought a more holistic support framework. That’s why they partnered with InsideTrack on a multi-year initiative to equip their staff with an evidence-based coaching methodology.

The Solution

Leveraging funding from the U.S. Department of Labor and the Maryland State Department of Labor, Employ Prince George’s began a multi-year partnership with InsideTrack to scale and sustain the evidence-based coaching methodology in employment services at multiple workforce boards across the county. Employ Prince George’s is kicking off this multi-year initiative by enlisting InsideTrack to train members of their American Job Center Community Network to deliver on the promise of integrated service and contribute to equitable access to opportunity.

Through in-depth training and ongoing professional development from InsideTrack’s expert coaches and consultants, Employ Prince George’s frontline staff and supervisors will develop holistic coaching skills and strength-based strategies to support job seekers in setting goals, developing a plan of action and successfully navigating the job search. This more personalized approach makes it possible for those looking for employment to overcome the complexities that are commonly part of a re-employment journey. 

Over time, the training and development will ensure that frontline workers have a strong foundation in coaching methodology and are able to develop a genuine connection to the job seekers they serve in every interaction they have — long after the formal training ends.
