NC Reconnect: From an Initial Re-enrollment Pilot to a Multi-Million Dollar ROI

Since 2021, NC Reconnect, an innovative statewide initiative geared toward re-enrolling adult learners and helping them finish their degrees, has brought back thousands of learners and generated millions in institutional return on investment — and that’s just the beginning. So how did this initiative grow from an initial pilot with five institutions to a successful statewide program with 24 community college partners and thousands of learners impacted? And how are funders, community colleges and state leaders working together to ensure re-enrolled students stay supported to and through graduation?
